10 years ago, Unicorns were generally considered an endangerd – if not extinct – species. So we thought we would rectify the situation by inventing the Unicorn Browband™ – an easy way to turn any horse or pony into a unicorn without messy glue, dangerous wires, and embarrassing paper or Styrofoam cones. Moreover, the Unicorn Browband™ was completely child-safe. The first Unicorn Browband was sold in September 2005 and thus began the resurrection of unicorns into human civilization. At the time, there was nothing like the Unicorn Browband™ on the market.
As we celebrate our 10th year in business this month, we thought we’d take a stroll down memory lane to our humble beginnings.
2005 – The First Unicorn Browband
The first ever Unicorn Browband™ sold to Dallas Pony Parties who also purchased some barding from us.
The second Unicorn Browband™ was also commissioned by the same pony party company to go with some more barding we made for them.
Shortly after came the fringe trim.
2006 – The Soft Unicorn Browband™
In 2006, we changed the Unicorn Browband to a softer horn on a reinforced felt or velvet browband with many more color options.
2009 – The Natural-Look Unicorn Horn
In 2009, we came out with the Natural-Look Unicorn Horn™ originally designed for photography, but it was an instant hit with customers who loved the more natural appearance.
2012 – The Unbridled Unicorn Horn™
In 2012, we invented a clip-on horn which allowed unicorns to be photographed without halters and bridles. Thus the undomesticated unicorn returned to earth.
2013 – The Contoured Natural-Look Unicorn Horn™
In 2013, we decided to add an exciting new style of Unicorn Horn which was even more realistic and more romantic than the Classic Natural-Look Unicorn Horn™.
2013 – Leather Unicorn Bridle™
We started learning leathercraft and produced a handful of leather Unicorn Browbands™ for professionals and expert equestrians, which always sold quickly. Unfortunately, due to time constraints and order volume, we are not able to produce as many leather pieces as we would like. We are still working on them whenever we have time and will be listing some soon!
2015 – The Baroque Unicorn Horn™
We have recently made the first few Baroque Unicorn Horns which we are very excited about. These horns are intended for heavier breeds of horses and ponies such as Friesians, Andalusians, Highland Ponies, Percherons, etc. that might dwarf the Classic and Contoured Horns with their broader heads and bodies.
2015 – The Unicorn Show Browband™
And in just the past week, we developed a series of leather show browbands with gorgeous child-safe unicorn horns for competitions, special occasions, or just to make any old day an extra special occasion for both kids and grownups!

Well, that brings us up to present day where we are celebrating our 10th anniversary. Naturally, we owe a big “Thank you” to all the wonderful customers we have had the pleasure of doing business with over the years.
