Note: These wings are translucent and the blue tint is very subtle so wings may appear white or clear in some light conditions.
These “horsefly” wings are a simpler and more economical version of our fairy wings. This set only has 2 wings like dipterous insects such as flies, hence the name Horsefly Wings, while or other fairy wings have 4 wings like bees and butterflies.
This is a gorgeous pair of very pale blue wings with glittering gold veins. This wing size of 19″ is ideal for miniature horses or small ponies. These wings are intended for use with a saddle or surcingle for light activity such as costume classes or photo shoots. Sizes given for fairy wings are the lengths of the larger (top) wing. Wings are intended for calm ponies and must be used with adult supervision.
The white surcingle and saddle pad in the product photo are not included with this item.
Important: For the pony’s comfort and safety, a saddle pad must be used when wearing wings. Custom fitted pads may be ordered at the same time as your wings for a more minimal look when using a surcingle. If riding with wings, a saddle and thick saddle pad must be used.
Note on wing Sizing
Wing dimensions given in the product listing are approximate as the natural curving of the finished product may cause variations in the finished size. To find out if a wing size will look good on your pony, use a measuring tape or yardstck to see how far the wings will extend from the shoulder.
