Important Sizing Information: Our costume armour requires accurate measurements to fit your horse or pony. If you have horses and ponies of different sizes, do not order one set with intent to share between all of them. Misusing this product without regard for proper fit not only produces unattractive results, but can also cause the armor to be broken and create dangerous conditions (especially if small ponies or minis are made to wear too-large items).
Important: Measure your horse/pony while it is wearing the same saddle and bridle that you plan to use with the armour.

Every prince or knight’s pony needs a full set of costume armor. This chest armor is made of overlapping plates that match our rump armor design to give you a beautiful set of costume horse armor. Made of soft and flexible material, our shining armor is lightweight and safe for animal and people.

About WishPony Horse Armour
Our armour is a flexible, lightweight costume designed mainly for ponies and miniature horses. We have made these armour pieces available in some smaller horse sizes as well since we will inevitably receive requests for larger sizes. Please note, however, that this product line is intended for activities such a kids’ costume classes, photo shoots, trick-or-treating, etc. and not for jousting or events that require real, historically accurate armour.
Usage Notes:
- Horses and ponies must be supervised at all times while wearing costumes.
- Tying a costumed horse is not recommend as costumes may snag on objects.
- Children must be supervised at all times to prevent misuse of costumes.
- Do not allow anyone to insert arms or limbs between any parts of the armor which can create hazardous situations.

Q: What size should I order for my horse or pony?
A: The listing for each armour component contains information on what measurements you need to choose the correct size. Please do not guess on sizing because measuring the part(s) of your horse or pony as described in the listing is critical to getting armour that will fit.
Q: Can this Armour be used for kids?
Our armour is designed to be safe for kids as it is made of flexible material that will not scratch or bruise. However, adult supervision is always required to:
- Put on the armour correctly
- Take measures to make sure the pony is not spooked by the costume
- Prevent children from playing with or misusing the armour (such as sticking limbs and fingers inside or under parts)
- Prevent the pony from rubbing against objects that may damage or snag the armour
Q: Is the Armour made of metal?
A: No. Our armour is made of synthetic composites that look like metal while being much lighter and without the danger of hard or sharp edges.
Q: Can this armour be worn for sports?
A: This really depends on the types of sport and how the armour fits your particular horse or pony and your tack. This armour was designed with mild activities in mind such as photo shoots, costume classes, slow parades, etc. If you insist on using your armour for intense activities, test it gradually at a trot and very slow canter and use your own judgement to decide if it is suitable for your desired activities. You must also make sure beforehand that your armour is not so tight that it will tear before trying anything strenuous. As every situation and horse is different, you must rely on your own judgment and assume all responsibility for your choices.
Q: Why is the armour so expensive?
A: The materials used in this armour is very costly and a large quantity is required to make each piece. The process of making the armour is also complicated and time consuming; therefore, prices must also cover work done and the usual costs of doing business.
Q: I have an event in a few days. Can I get my armour sooner?
A: For custom armour, the processing time is approximately 4 weeks. Because this project requires large amounts of materials that may need to be ordered in and a long, complicated construction process it requires a longer processing time than our other products. To avoid disappointment and stress, armour should be ordered at least 6 weeks (for customers in the USA) before you need it to allow for time to make your armour, time for it to ship to your location, and potential delivery delays. You must also choose the appropriate shipping option needed for your time-frame. For commercial use such as pony parties and photo shoots, we strongly recommend that businesses wait until they have received their armour before scheduling events as no exceptions can be made on the processing time.
Q: Can I pay for rush processing on my custom order?
A: We may be able to provide rush processing (for an additional fee) on a per-customer basis depending on the size, pieces, and the date needed. Factors such as stock and current order volume must be considered, so you need to contact us first to check if this is possible. Please do not place an order and ask for rush service in your order note/comments.
