This Christmas Barding Set listing is to make ordering a matched set in Holiday colors more quickly and easily. To order components alone, use the custom listings for each component (Medieval Rein, Chest and Rump Caparisons) under Barding & Armour, which include all the Holiday colors and more.
This is a custom set of Horse Rein Covers, Chest and Rump Caparisons made of beautiful crushed Panne velvet fabric available in an array of festive colors and color combinations.
Simply slip your reins through the channels of the rein covers (measuring approximately 1.5" in width). Ribbon ties on chest and rump caparisons allow for easy attaching to either d-rings, billets or cinch rings.
Each caparison contains 7 triangular shaped dags. Rein cover lengths over 40 inches contain 9 segments.

Measuring for Barding Length/Size
- Rein Barding: Select a length that will not interfere with grip on the reins.
For safety reasons, we recommend not covering portions of the reins you need to grip, and when necessary, push barding forward to get better grip on the reins.
- Chest Barding: Measure from center of chest to points where you plan to attach (d-rings, billets, cinch ring, etc.)
- Rump Barding: Measure accross the rump as far as you want your barding to hang on both sides.
